This story is a true story that I am sharing with you with the permission of my mother. It epitomizes faithful obedience to God and its impact.
I am now a firm believer in the vision board. I have proven it. The other thing I took away from this experience is the importance of trusting the process and not being hasty – having faith.
Don’t sweat the small stuff. A good rule of thumb is to consider if in 5 years whatever the situation you are dealing with will still matter. If it will still matter, then the issue is important and requires your attention.
There is no limit to what you can place on your vision board. It is just the visual representation of your goals (whatever they may be). For example, you could add pictures of the house you hope to own someday or the car you would love to drive. You could include photos of your dream vacation destination or the school you want to attend. The images could be articles of clothing you want to buy or academic credentials you hope to earn. The possibilities are endless. You are only limited by your imagination. The key to the vision board is to place it in a prominent location, where you will see it multiple times per day.
Your thoughts are extremely powerful. So please be mindful of what you choose to focus your mind on. Consider this. Whatever you think about, you will talk about and whatever you talk about, you do (consciously or unconsciously). As a result, your actions over time become your habits and your habits shape your destiny.
